
It all kicked off in 2019 in a dusty corner of a home brew and baking shop in the regional Victorian town of Ballarat. Back then, we just wanted to help locals get a decent rise out of their loaves. We didn't exactly plan for it to turn into a full-blown obsession, but sourdough has a way of taking over your kitchen (and your life) like that.
These days, we remain a proper family business, now operating on the Surf Coast, just outside of Torquay, Victoria. While we’ve traded the goldfields for the ocean, the goal is the same: making sure sourdough is actually fun, rather than a stressful science experiment.
It’s been a thrill to see more and more people around the world start their sourdough journeys with us - going from serving locked-down Aussies in 2020 to opening our US hub in Portland, Oregon this year. We still get a little buzz out of every single order.
