Sourdough yeast will hibernate and become inactive if the ambient temperature is too cold. Launchpad provides a bed of gentle warmth for your sourdough starter, providing up to 10 hours of natural heat.
Launchpad activates when exposed to oxygen - simply open the pack and give it a shake. You can use it when you first activate your starter, and then re-use it later to ensure your starter is at its most active before each bake.
Our tests have shown that sourdough starter activates up to five times faster when using Launchpad, even at warm ambient room temperature.
