Our Sourdough Starter Culture Pack contains a water-activated sourdough starter culture that will provide a perpetual source of sourdough yeast for as long as you care for it. 

The pack contains:

• water-activated sourdough starter culture

• jute cloth covering with twine

• a name tag for your starter, with ongoing care instructions

• a thermometer card to ensure your room is the right temperature for activating your starter

• step-by-step activation guide

• exclusive access to baking guides for Sourdough Bread, Sourdough Pizza Bases, Sourdough Fruit Loaf, Sourdough Cinnamon Scrolls and Sourdough Hot Cross Buns.

The starter culture in this pack is 100% gluten-free, so can be used to make gluten-free sourdough bread.

Every Sourdough Starter Culture Pack is prepared and packed by hand in regional Victoria. Standard shipping is just $5 for all locations within Australia.

Please note:

- This pack contains the starter culture only and will require additional ingredients to make bread (flour, salt etc). 

-The Sourdough Starter Culture can be stored for up to six months before first activation, or up to 10 months if kept in the freezer.

- Guides and recipes are accessible via a QR code on the inside of the pack. A smart phone with internet connection is required to access and view.

- The Sourdough Stater Culture Culture contains traces of milk, and as such is not suitable for a vegan diet or for anyone with intolerances of/allergies to dairy.
